Carol Copple is early childhood specialist and publications editor at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). She has taught in and directed preschool programs and conducted research on children’s cognition and language. She has co-authored Educating the Young Thinker: Classroom Strategies for Cognitive Growth, Developmentally Appropriate Practice for Early Childhood Programs, and Learning to Read and Write: Developmentally Appropriate Practices for Young Children.
David Elkind (USA) (via video link) author and Professor Emeritus of Child Development at Tufts University, Massachusetts has spent his life time bringing together and advancing the work of some of the greatest thinkers on child development. Among his books are the renowned Reinventing Childhood, The Hurried Child, and All Grown Up and No Where to Go.
Kathy Walker (Australia) is a renowned Melbourne-based consultant who has a background in child psychology, early childhood and primary education. She is the author of the bestselling book for parents What’s the Hurry? as well as a book for teachers Play Matters on the Australian Developmental Curriculum.
