The inaugural 4 day interstate teachers conference on the Australian Developmental Curriculum(play and project based curriculum) was held last week for four days.
We were delighted to host our first interstate teachers conference on the ADC this week. Teachers, principals and managers from the Northern Territory and the ACT attended as well as two staff from rural Victoria. We toured around regional and metropolitan Victoria to visit 5 schools that are using the approach not only in the early years of school but also grades 3-6. We also held symposiums and discussions, mentoring and modelling of how the approach works.
We particularly thank the following schools which provided their time and teachers and students to our conference delegates
Altona Green Primary School
St. James Catholic School Sebastopol
Mt. Evelyn Primary School
Croydon West Primary school
St. Albans Primary school
We also thank Gowrie Victoria for our visits to the observations booths on setting up play based environments and to visit their specialist early childhood bookshop and resource centre.
We are delighted to have been featured in a number of local papers in Ballarat and the Western region of Melbourne.
