I am really looking forward to the coming week. We have a bus load of interstate teachers ranging from the ACT, Darwin, the top end and Arnhem land coming to visit us for a week. It is so exciting to witness the wide spread implementation of the Australian developmental Curriculum right across the county. We are so pleased to have government support and of course the fact that the new national early years framework and the new Victorian state early years framework are both embracing the importance of active investigations, exploration and scaffolded play alongside explicit teaching is a wonderful reinforcement of all international studies that highlight young children learn best through the mix of active and explicit learning experiences. So we are off into the wide blue ( or maybe grey this winter) yonder in our bus, touring and visiting schools and sharing ideas with many teachers across this state.
