This introductory presentation is for primary teachers and leaders wanting to optimise children’s learning through a play-based pedagogy, and is ideally suited to primary teachers who are new to or early in their Walker Learning journey. Join us as we explore the key elements of Walker Learning in the early primary years F/K/P/R to Year 2 including:

  • The research and philosophy of Walker Learning
  • The core elements of Walker Learning
  • Creating inspiring learning environments
  • The Investigation session
  • How to authentically link literacy and numeracy into Investigations
  • Implementation strategies for teams and schools
  • Introduction to Walker Learning documentation which links to the existing curriculum framework.

This informative PD examines the Walker Learning pedagogy. We also include video footage and photos from Walker Learning classrooms across Australia. The session will conclude with an audience Q&A.
