Walker Learning is internationally acclaimed and has been implemented for over 25 years across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. In addition to our scheduled PD sessions, we can also offer customised sessions and consultancy & mentoring for your school, centre or organisation.

Walker Learning Mentoring offers individualised coaching with one of our senior Walker Learning Consultants on the implementation of the Walker Learning Pedagogy in YOUR setting. Whether you have embarked on your accreditation pathway or need coaching sessions to reaffirm practice, our senior Walker Learning consultant will personalise their support and guidance to your requirements and setting. Mentoring is for teachers and teams who have previously attended our scheduled or customised professional learning.

Mentoring is an important part of your Walker Learning journey and is an essential component of the Walker Learning accreditation pathway. We can provide mentoring strategies for individuals, teams, or whole school implementation. So that we can best assist you with the embedding of the Pedagogy, mentoring can occur at any point along your journey and whether you are choosing to become accredited or not.

Coaching packages are available, and mentoring can take place either online or in person. Contact us to find out more.

In addition to mentoring, we can also support you with customised professional development for your team. Our experienced Walker Learning consultants can deliver customised workshops on any of the topics listed in our calendar of scheduled events. It confirmed to me that we were on the right path in thinking in developmental terms rather that thinking in terms of the framework in regards to children's learning and development. I have discussed this briefly with staff at our centre but will do so in more detail at our first staff meeting next term. We had our 'Assessment Visit' so all of our energy was being put towards finalising everything in preparation. It just makes more sense to me and identifies areas individual children need to work on and perhaps be referred for specialist help.

    • This was a great course, lots of opportunity share ideas with only 10 participants. having been out of the mainstream environment for 15 years and working in early intervention, this was a great course to remind me of some of the things that I use to do but also to gain an understanding of some of the changes that have occurred over this time. it also assisted to clear up some of those urban myths in regards to documenting (what it needs to look like) and what must be on a planning document.

I particularly enjoyed the practical elements of the PD as often we know the theory but it is helpful to have practical ways to implement the theory.     • I definitely gained some new ways of thinking about how to use materials. Also, the value of Combining different types of media and using the correct paper. I also learned about some glue/ adhesive products I was previously unaware of. Overall an enjoyable and interesting day.
