STARTING AN OUTDOOR LEARNING PROGRAM.

Why bush kinder? What do you need to know?

Participants will engage in pedagogical theory, practical activities and collaborative learning in the outdoors.

You will learn how to establish routines, complete risk benefit/assessments, resource Bush Kinder and plan outdoor activities to develop Creativity.

Join us for a morning of bush kinder to observe the children and educators in a natural outdoor learning environment.

This inspiring day combines theory and practice exploring the following:

  • A visit to a local bush kinder program
  • The critical role of the natural environment in the lives of young children
  • Practical considerations to set up in your context
  • Question and answer session with an experienced bush kindergarten teacher

This PD is a must for teachers and educators working with children aged birth to five, working in early childhood centres (prior to primary school)

National Quality Standard: QA  - 1, 2, 3, 6
