WALKER LEARNING STUDY TOUR - F to Year 6
This one-day tour visits a school that is using Walker Learning across Foundation to year 6. It provides opportunities for educators to observe the key elements of Walker Learning from preschool right through to year 6.
Classroom observations will include the early years and the middle and upper years.
In the early years participants will view; tuning in, reflection, the learning environment, focus children, and reporter and photographer, and to meet and discuss these elements with educators and leaders.
In the middle and upper years participants will view; focus students, tuning in, communication boards in action, class meetings and aspects of education research projects are all demonstrated on this day.
This PD provides the ideal mix of classroom observation underpinned by the theory and practical application of Walker Learning as a whole school approach.
You will also have the opportunity to meet and discuss these elements with educators and leaders at the school.
Further professional learning follows in the afternoon to look at key elements in more detail, including photographs and video footage of Walker Learning classrooms across Australia.
This inspirational Study Tour is for leaders and teachers interested in this Play-Based Learning Approach or those already implementing Play-Based Learning; wishing to refine and clarify practice.
Walker Learning Study Tours are a "must do" for educators and leadership who are just beginning or already implementing Walker Learning.
