What you will learn from this session:
How do you currently analyse, assess, monitor and evaluate children's learning, development and wellbeing? This session focuses on effective ways to understand, acknowledge and document children's progress and their achievements of Learning Outcomes that doesn't take away your weekend or interrupt your interactions with children. This session can be viewed as a stand alone professional development session or can be completed in conjunction with the sessions outlined in our Certification pathway. Our Certification pathway can assist teams choosing to implement a 2 year planning timeframe.
Participants attending Want your Life Back? Effective and Time-Efficient Documentation for Early Childhood will:
- Be given ways to promote and plan for appropriate play experiences which enhance development wholistically and incorporate literacy and numeracy outcomes based on the framework.
- See how structured planning documents can support rich language, literacy and numeracy experiences and educator scaffolding within the learning environments.
- Be given ways to focus on documentation and planning that enhances and supports your interactions with children thereby ensuring educators and children have strong relationships and high-quality interactions.
- Be shown simple ways to collect, collate and manage your records.
- Learn how to document children’s learning using a practical range of strategies that link to the National Quality Framework and the Assessment process for the EYLF version 2
- See how to implement a planning process that provides a systematic way of ensuring all children are catered for on a cyclical basis so that progress can be easily monitored and evaluated.
- You will receive completed sample planning document template examples to guide your centre’s Planning and Documentation.
- You will receive blank planning documentation templates.
Educators in WA, SA, NT, and Tasmania who complete this course will be provided with a certificate and are able to use this course towards their maintenance of Registration requirements.
